Dolphins Land Former Raider Wilson

by Ben Cook on February 27, 2009

The Miami Dolphins have agreed to terms with recently released safety, Gibril Wilson, on a five year deal reportedly worth $27.5 million.

The 5 year safety won a Superbowl with the New York Giants in 2008 and was signed by the Raiders to a 6 year, $39 million deal but lasted only one season in Oakland before being released.

Bill Parcel’s Dolphins, for the second straight year making bold offseason moves, quickly snatched up Wilson to shore up their defense which has two prominent backs hitting the free agent market tomorrow.
